Borowa Mc is a band from Latgale, Latvia that is proud of its roots and believes that singing in Latgalian language one can create sonorous lyrics. Borowa Mc has three core members: Guntra - who sings like an angel, Aigars - the speaker, not only on stage but also in life, and Ingars - responsible for voice and string instruments. On April 16th, 2005 Borowa MC had their first concert and this date is considered to be band’s birthday. So far the biggest success of Borowa Mc is the victory in music festival Oswald in 2004; victory in radio SWH Music of the Year Award in 2006; victory in Musical bank; three Latvian Music Awards 2006; Copyright Infinity Award for the song “Vysskaistuokajau meitiņai”. In 2008, when the band was invited to write a song for Latvia’s 90th anniversary, the song “Iededzies par Latviju” was made. Borowa Mc has released three studio albums, their debut record “Trepis iz nakurīni” reached the status of Golden Disc. Band has issued more than twenty singles, most of which have entered the radio station top positions.
