Latvian indie rock band Carnival Youth have released another remix from their upcoming \u201cGood Luck\u201d remix EP \u2013 this time it\u2019s Kasetes remake of \u201cBoys Do Cry\u201d. This follows the \u201cOnly the Moon Can See the Sun\u201d remix by Bel Tempo released in February.<\/p>\n
Kasetes, who\u2019s latest album \u201cDialogue\u201d was named Best Electronic Music Album at the 2021 Latvian Music Awards \u201cZelta Mikrofons\u201d, have given \u201cBoys Do Cry\u201d a fresh 80s synthpop vibe. The remix comes with a reconstructed original music video, that emphasises the new ambience of the track.<\/p>\n
Since Kasetes have already done a dazzling remix of Carnival Youth\u2019s \u201cUnderneath the Water\u201d a few years ago, they were one of the first ones Carnival Youth thought of when deciding which creators to give \u201cGood Luck\u201d songs to remix. \u201cCool people and a cool band with a distinct style and their own signature sound within the local music scene,\u201d describes Emils Kaupers from Carnival Youth. \u201cI sent Rudolfs the song tracks almost a year ago and he replied very quickly with an almost finished version of the remix. It\u2019s essentially a Kasetes song with a \u201cBoys Do Cry\u201d vocal tracks since it feels like almost all instruments are added from scratch. And that\u2019s the beauty of this project \u2013 each artist can do whatever they want with the song. We love to be surprised!\u201d<\/p>\n
