From 30th of September to 4th of October Austrian capital Vienna and Slovakian capital Bratislava will host annual music conference/showcase “Waves Vienna + Bratislava”. This year there will be special focus in festival’s programme on music from Baltic States, as its motto is “East meets West”. Therefore, Latvia will be represented by five artists at the festival.
Each year “Waves” festivals have a unique focus in its programme, welcoming more musicians then usual from specific market, and this year it is on Baltic countries. Latvia will be represented in festival with five acts: singer-songwriter Alise Joste, world music band “DaGamba”, progressive rock four-piece “Laika Suns”, electro-rock band “Triana Park” and producer “Mr.Myster”.
To promote region’s music even more, on Friday 2nd of October “Urban House” in Bratislava will host Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian party. During the party there will be live performances from “DaGamba”, Jurgis Did (LT) and DJ Kristo Rajasaare (EE) as well as some snacks, drinks and possibility to meet music professionals from Baltics. Latvia will be represented there by musicians, music professionals and representatives from “Music Export Latvia”. Don’t be late – the party starts at 18.30!
