The dark folk / alternative country / folk rock band “Jūk” is a musical collective comprised by mostly 5 musicians: Edgars Šubrovskis (guitar, bass guitar, vocals) Sniedze Prauliņa (flute, vocals) Oskars Jansons (guitar, banjo, vocals) Dina Skreitule (violin, vocals) Raitis Viļumovs (drums). They perform their own songs (by Prauliņa, Šubrovskis and Jansons) and original arrangements of popular as well as lesser known songs from the Latvian alternative underground and folk scene.
