Balozu Pilni Pagalmi was formed in the spring of 1994. Even though Balozu Pilni Pagalmi hasn’t reached similar commercial success as other popular Latvian artists, the band in their long and prolific career (their 10th studio album – “Stacija mums” was released in 2014) has become one of the most significant and influential bands in the Latvian alternative rock scene. The creative force behind Baložu Pilni Pagalmi for twenty years has been vocalist and guitarist Māris Šverns. Šverns and Baložu Pilni Pagalmi over the years have gathered comparatively small, but devoted fan base and inspired many Latvian future underground musicians to try songwriting.
